Chelsea transfer round up: Costa update, Koulibaly very close and more

Chelsea have been trying to reconstruct under the new manager Antonio Conte after a forgettable season. The Blues have already signed Batshuayi and Kante and are looking to add more players to their roster to become a dominant force yet again this season. Here we look at all the transfer stories involving Chelsea today.

According to Mirror, Atletico Madrid are not giving up on signing Chelsea’s star striker Diego Costa but Conte is reportedly wanted the striker to stay for the upcoming season.


Chelsea were given a major boost in their pursuit to Napoli’s centre-back Kalidou Koulibaly as the player agent has confirmed the Blues’ interest and also assured the player will leave the Italian outfit this summer.

According to TalkSport,  Conte is keen to sign Real Madrid’s striker Alvaro Morata as a potential replacement for Diego Costa whose future at club remains unclear. Real Madrid are looking for a sum of 67 million pounds for the talented young striker.



Juventus are keen to sign Blues’ midfielder Nemanja Matic as a replacement for departing Paul Pogba, reports Daily Mail. With the addition of Kante, Matic situation at the club remains complicated.
