Leicester City target Islam Slimani appeared to confirm his move to the Premier League club as he left the pitch in tears in an emotional farewell in a 2-1 win against Porto on Sunday.
The 28-year old’s representatives have reportedly held talks with Leicester City’s officials as the deal is close to completion with the Foxes willing to pay a massive £25million fee.
Islam Slimani is one of the highly rated strikers in Portugal as the Algerian international have scored an impressive 32 goals in 42 games for both club and country last season. The performances meant he has attracted interest from a host of Premier clubs which include Arsenal, West Ham, West Brom and Everton.
Leicester City who are set to play their first Champions League in their history are keen to add more striking force in their squad as they can’t play Jamie Vardy in each and every game as it is going to be the longest season for the Foxes.
The Foxes are also keen to sign another Sporting star with Portuguese midfielder Adrien Silva, appearing to confirm reports that he is destined for a £20m switch to the King Power Stadium.
