Eden Hazard, who was heavily linked with Real Madrid in the summer transfer window has made his intention clear. He will not leave the English club in this season.
Eden Hazard isn’t going any where, at least in this transfer window.
After Thibaut Courtois completed his move to Real Madrid, the rumours started to get even higher of Hazard moving to the Spanish club too. But in the end, the new Chelsea managed has convinced Hazard to stay at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea started their Premier League campaign with two wins in a row. Hazard started from the bench in both the matches, but played a vital role coming in as a substitute player.
The Spanish transfer window is open until August 31. However, Hazard is dismissed his move to the Spanish club after the London derby win on Saturday.
Hazard told RMC Sport:
“You know what I said after the World Cup. I’m happy here, I do not want to talk about that yet. Many things have been said – nonsense and everything. “For now, I’m happy. I still have two years of contract [left] and we’ll see what happens. I will not leave [this year]. The transfer window in England is already closed. We can sell but we cannot sign players.”
The 27-year old also said that he’s feeling good at the moment at Chelsea and he will think about his future later.
“It would be a bit strange for [Chelsea] to let me go and not recruit another player. We could see [against Arsenal] that the fans like me a lot. I feel good here. We’ll see what happens in a year or two years.”
The Belgian midfielder came off the bench against Arsenal. And he set up the winning goal for Marcos Alonso in a 3-2 win for the Blues at Stamford bridge.
