According to reports in Portuguese outlet O Jogo,  Arsenal are all set to loan out their forward Joel Campbell to Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon for this season. The outlet has also claimed that the player is already in Lisbon for the medical and the contract.

Sporting also attempted to sign the Costa Rica international last year but failed. Their boss, Jorge Jesus, has had his eye on the Costa Rican since he was the manager of Benfica and, according to the outlet, it seems he’s still eager to bring the forward to Lisbon.

After spending years out on loan at Lorient, Betis, Olympiakos and Villarreal since the Gunners signed him in 2011, Campbell looked to have finally made a breakthrough at the North London club last season when he appeared 30 times and scored four goals. However, he is still not guaranteed a regular place in the first team and was not included in the squad which lost 4-3 to Liverpool in the season opener.

An avid sports lover, i always wanted to pursue a career in football. Anyway, writing for sports has kept me closer to this field. One more thing, yours sincerely is a die-hard Liverpool fan. You will never walk alone.
