Jones, Smalling and Rojo Out! 4-3-3 Manchester United predicted lineup to face Burnley

Jose Mourinho will be relieved that his side managed to beat Anderlecht late in the second leg in extra time at Old Trafford in the Europe league on Thursday. But they do not have any respite as they will be back in action just three days later, when they travel to the Turf Moor in one of the toughest game remaining for the Red Devils in their league campaign. United are currently out of the top-4 and cannot afford to drop any points if they are to qualify for the Champions League but they are sure to find it hard against a gritty Burnley side this weekend. Here is the predicted lineup that Mourinho might field for this tie:

Team News:

The likes of Chris Smalling and Phil Jones are both ruled out for this tie alongside Zlatan Ibrahimović, who picked up an ACL injury in the Europa League tie. Defender Marcos Rojo also picked up a niggle and could be another star missing for this game for United.

Expected lineup (4-3-3):

Defense:

Sergio Romero played the Europa League game so De Gea should be fit and ready to take on Burnley in this tie. Antonio Valencia has been impeccable but has played too many games recently and might be rested. Mourinho hinted at Ashely Young being included in the squad and he could start at right back on the night.

Luke Shaw should keep his place at left-back while Eric Bailly should be the first choice defender for Mourinho in this game. With Jones, Smalling and Rojo all injured, Daly Blind should partner Bailly at the heart of the defence for United.

Midfield:

Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera sat out of the clash against Anderlecht. He should be up for this game and should start in the midfield. Marouane Fellaini played the full 90 minutes in the Europa League. However, with options at a premium, he should partner Herrera in the midfield for this game.

Attack:

Henrikh Mkhitaryan was involved in the European tie and could be rested for this game and this might see Jesse Lingard take his place on the right flank. Juan Mata is still injured and this might see Mourinho use Paul Pogba in a slightly attacking role in this game.

Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford changed the game against Anderlecht in extra time and the duo are expected to start, with Rashford leading the attacking line for United.

Here is how they would line up:
