Rome, Nov 8 (IANS) Juventus defender Andrea Barzagli will have to remain off the field over the next two months because of a dislocated left shoulder, the football club said in a statement.
Barzagli underwent medical tests on Monday that revealed a dislocated left shoulder, suffered on Sunday during a Serie A match against Chievo Verona, reports Efe.
As a result, the player must keep his arm immobilised for four weeks as the doctors predicted a two-month absence.
Thus, Barzagli is expected to return to the field only in January 2017 and will miss important matches, including the game against Sevilla in the Champions League on November 22.
He will also miss the Series A matches, most importantly against Roma and the Turin derby with Torino, as well as the Supercoppa Italiana game against Milan in Qatari capital Doha.
