According to reports from Italy, Lazio are open to sign Liverpool misfit striker Mario Balotelli. The striker is desperately searching to find a new club as the Reds are keen to offload him this summer.
The 26-year old who have moved to Anfield back in 2014 has never been phenomenal for the Reds as he was sent on loan to AC Milan last season.
Balotelli has scored only 4 goals in his debut season at Liverpool but could not make his impact felt even in Serie A with AC Milan as he managed only 3 goals in 23 appearances last season.
According to Il Messaggero, Mario Balotelli’s agent Raiola had got in touch with Lazio’s president and sporting director and offered the striker’s services.
Lazio are in search of a new striker ahead of the Italian season and are keen to sign the Reds striker to replace legendary German striker Miraslov Klose.
However, one of the major obstacles for his transfer would be his massive wages as he is currently paid €6m yearly at Anfield. The Italian needs to take a huge wage cut if he wants to revive his career by moving to a new club.
Championship side Wolves, Italian club Cheivo have also expressed their interest in signing the 26-year old. It remains to be seen whether Reds can offload the player before the close of the transfer window.
