Liverpool submit an improved bid for Inter Milan star Mateo Kovacic, deal expected to go through

As per the latest reports, Liverpool have reached an agreement to sign Inter Milan midfielder Mateo Kovacic. The 21-year old has been heavily linked with a move to Anfield in the recent weeks and have finally reached an agreement for a potential transfer.

The Reds have earlier made a £7.5 million bid but Inter Milan have rejected the offer. But Liverpool offered an improved offer which is worth £17 million plus other binuses related to player’s appearences for the Reds next season.

The Italian giants are reportedly happy with the transfer fee offered and will let the player go. The Croatian had an excellent season despite Inter Milan failing to qualify for Europe next season.

The player will be a key addition to Liverpool as Steven Gerrard is leaving for MLS outfit LA Galaxy this summer and Kovacic is considered an ideal replacement for the legendary midfielder.

The player is known for his play making and switching between attack and defence and will be a viable option for the Reds. The deal might be announced in the next few days suggested the reports.
