Adam Lallana will sign a five year contract with Liverpool. Bournemouth will receive £6.25m from the deal due to a 25% sell-on clause. Lallana’s agent David Manasseh confirmed this deal to Sky Sports news.
“We’re getting closer,” he said. “We’re nearly there on the personal terms and he’s having a medical. Hopefully we’ll have good news for Liverpool fans – probably tomorrow (Saturday) morning.”
Lallana, 25, was always a top target for Brendan Rodgers, and Liverpool have now wrapped up a deal for the playmaker. Lallana was voted the Saints’ Player of the Season, has scored nine goals in 37 premier League games this season, he was included in the World Cup squad by Roy Hodgson and was recently included in the PFA team of the season. Lallana would be a perfect fit for Rodgers and will add goals to the midfield.
Brendan Rodgers is keen to add more attacking options, after his side qualified for the Champions League. Liverpool are also interested in Lazar Markovic, Divock Origi, Xherdan Shaqiri and Alexis Sanchez. According to various reliable sources, Liverpool will make a £20m bid for Lazar Markovic that will activate his release clause. Lille’s Divock Origi is close to join Liverpool, according to Tony Barrett of The Times.
