Shakhtar Donetsk attacking midfielder Teixeira confirms receiving transfer proposal from Chelsea and also revealed his desire to play under Mourinho.

25-year-old Teixeira is one of the in-form players being linked with Chelsea as they are desperate to salvage their faltering season; he has also been linked with Manchester United

The Brazilian attacker has been in sensational form for the Ukrainian side Shakhtar this season, netting an astonishing 23 goals in 23 appearances in all competitions.

And now it looks a likely move to Stamford Bridge is not at all impossible after the Brazilian confirmed he has received an offer from the Blues, along with two other European giants Juventus and PSG.

He is basically an attacking midfielder rather than an out-and-out striker but Chelsea have been scouting him for the past two transfer windows and Mourinho thinks playing just behind Diego Costa, he might become the key to unlocking goals.

Teixeira told Brazilian media outlet Lance, “What I saw and what my manager said was that Chelsea, Juventus and PSG made proposals,”

“I’m glad to have received the proposal of Chelsea as they are a big club in Europe, but my manager will sort that.
“It’s my dream, I have spoken to many people who have the desire to play in the Premier League, because I think it’s the best World Championship, most competitive.

“For January, I believe it is very difficult because it is in the middle of the championship. Shakhtar has said they will not release me in January, only at the end of the season. But I’m with a clear head.”

The Shakhtar hitman also admitted his desire to work with under-fire Jose Mourinho, and his wish to see the manager retain his position no matter what happens.

“I hope he does not leave Chelsea now. I want to work with him and have great success at his side.”

If Teixieira’s version is true, it now looks like he will not go anywhere other than Stamford Bridge next summer.
