Manchester United To Complete £44million Transfer In Another Marquee Signing

Manchester United are set to complete the £44 million transfer deal for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic, according to reports.

The 28-year old has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford in the recent weeks as his fine form has drawn interest from numerous clubs across Europe. The Croatian international is very keen to join forces with Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford for next season.

The Red Devils were in negotiations over a transfer fee for a considerable time as they were initially ready to offer £39.5m for the winger. But the club are now ready to pay £44million to sign the exciting winger, who is arguably in the form of his life.

United have already announced the signing of Swedish defender Victor Lindelof from Benfica last month, Romelu Lukaku from Everton and the club are set to spend big on new signings once again this summer.

According to Daily Mail, Perisic will be pulling out of Inter Milan’s pre-season tour to China on Tuesday and will be making a move to Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Manchester United headed out in the other direction as they currently preparing for their new season with a pre-season to the United States.
However, Manchester United’s Ed Woodward stayed at home to complete the deal for Perisic as Inter Milan played hard ball over the transfer fee. The Italian giants were initially interested in involving Frenchman Anthony Martial on loan as part of the deal.
But Manchester United was not willing to accept the terms and Inter have compromised over a price to let Perisic leave San Siro.

The Croatian has been one of the best players in Italy last season having featured for Inter Milan in 42 games. He has managed an impressive 11 goals and 12 assists during the course of the season and is one of the high profile players who are available in the market in summer.

He had also featured for Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg in Germany before his move to Italy. He was also one of the best players in Euro 2016 last summer and could prove to be a vital addition to Manchester United’s attack.
