According to reports in The Sun, Manchester United youngster Tyler Blackett, who is not a part of Jose Mourinho’s plans, has been granted the permission to leave the club. The defender is reportedly close to joining championship club Reading.
The United academy product came through the youth ranks at Old Trafford and started to feature for the first-team under former United boss Louis Van Gaal.
The 22-year old has Championship experience as he had a loan stint at Birmingham in 2014.
He joined Scottish giants Celtic on a temporary deal in August last season but made only four starts for them during his season-long stay at the club. He has since struggled to make his mark at United and Mourinho is said to be happy to let the defender leave this summer.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Eric Bailly has deteriorated the matter even more for the defender and he will now be hoping to rebuild his reputation elsewhere.
