Manchester United are ready to revive their interest in Ligue 1 striker Moussa Dembele according to reports coming out of France.
While Manchester United are being linked with numerous names, Dembele is a not new addition to the list. The 26-year-old striker happens to be reappearing on United’s wish-list for a transfer.
Dembele who has been at Lyon since 2018 has often been linked with a move to the Premier League. While Tottenham Hotspur had tried to sign him in the past, it was United however who lead the race for Dembele.

United have been keeping an eye on the French striker since his Celtic days from 2016 to 2018. The Red Devils could launch a realistic approach for Dembele this summer, according to Media Foot Marseille.
Manchester United in dire need of a striker
It is now secret by now that Ten Hag is looking for a new striker at the club. The urgency is more than ever since Cristiano Ronaldo has expressed his wish to leave the club.
However, Ten Hag had already demanded that United sign a striker after Edinson Cavani left, and despite having the likes of Ronaldo and Rashford.
Dembele on the other hand has been rocking in a Lyon shirt in his three-and-a-half seasons at the club. The France international has scored a massive 67 goals and provided 18 assists in 143 games for Lyon.
Moreover, in his two-year stint at Celtic, which first garnered United’s attention Dembele amassed 69 goal contributions [51 goals and 18 assists] in mere 94 appearances.
Ten Hag has reportedly approved Dembele’s signing after United have hit a roadblock in Ajax winger Antony’s deal.
Lyon who sent Dembele on loan to Atletico Madrid in January last year could facilitate his exit this summer. The striker’s current deal ends in June 2023 and Lyon would certainly try and avoid the risk of letting him go for free.
While transfermarkt values him at £18 million, United could pounce on the opportunity to acquire Dembele on a cheap deal.
Meanwhile, Ten Hag and his team are fresh from thrashing Liverpool 4-0 in their first preseason friendly. United will now travel to Australia to face Melbourne Victory to continue their preseason.
