Manchester United were able to qualify for the Champions League for the next season on the last day of their previous campaign as they won over Ajax in the Europa League final.
Qualification into the UCL will now give them a chance to add some of the finest players in world football to the squad at Old Trafford next season and Jose Mourinho is not holding back.
Having broken the transfer record for Paul Pogba last summer, Mourinho is even ready to better it and is looking at some superstars for a move this summer.
One such player constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford is Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan.
Italian outfit AS Roma are currently in a hurry to get rid of some players to comply with the FFP rules and have already sold Mohamed Salah to Liverpool. They are also ready to listen to offers for Nainggolan and Manchester United seem very eager.
Also linked with a move to Chelsea, Nainggolan has been in terrific form in the Serie A, picking up 11 goals and four assists for his side last season.
And according to Italian news outfit Il Tempo, Manchester United have taken the first step in trying to land him this summer.
The report claims that the Red Devils have offered the 29-year old a worth £6.6million-a-season after tax to the former Cagliari player.
He is currently contracted with AS Roma till 2020 and the Serie A side are no more obligated to sell but Manchester United are also ready to meet his valuation in north of €305, which might be enough for Roma to consider selling him this summer.

Jose Mourinho is desperately looking for a defensive midfielder who can help get the best out of Paul Pogba next season.
The likes of Blaise Matuidi, Tiemoue Bakayoko and Nemanja Matic have all been linked with a move to Old Trafford but it is understood that Mourinho is determined to land Nainggolan and sees him as the right option for his midfield.
The Belgian is tailor-made for the English game and his experience will also come in handy but is he the right man for Manchester United?
