Maradona To Be New Ambassador Of Chinese Super League
Buenos Aires, March 9 (IANS) Argentina football legend Diego Maradona announced on Thursday that he will be the new ambassador of the Chinese Super League (CSL).
On his Instagram account, Maradona said: “Thank you very much Ms. Tang Qinghui for this opportunity you are giving me to work in China, I will be eternally grateful!”
The Argentine wrote this caption in Spanish, Italian and English, and attached a photo of himself posing with his spokeswoman, Tang Qinghui, in China standing in front of a picture where he is carrying the 1986 World Cup trophy, reports Efe.
Maradona’s lawyer Matias Morla confirmed that his client has signed a contract to promote Chinese soccer.
This announcement comes after Maradona recently stated that he will be working with FIFA to achieve a clean and transparent organisation to govern international soccer.
