AC Milan striker Mario Balotelli is set to move to Liverpool with the striker announcing in a press conference that today that he had taken part in his final training session at Milanello.
The Milan club would get a reported £16 million for the maverick forward who is set to earn £90k a week at Anfield. He is best suited to play as a lone striker but is also capable of playing just off the number 9.
Manager Brendan Rodgers ‘categorically’ denied that he is contemplating signing the 24-year-old though here we are, just two weeks on with the Merseyside club close to completing a deal for the Italian international.

Though his imminent arrival has been dealt with mixed reactions, the Reds certainly will gain from the undoubted quality that the Italian possesses. The skepticism from some of the Liverpool comes from the unhealthy attitude and lack of work-rate Super Mario has sometimes shown during training as well as on the pitch.
But all in all, it’s a risk worth taking and Liverpool fans can be delighted by the relatively low fee and the swift negotiations that will bring Balotelli back to England.
