The Premier League was back in town this weekend as teams from around the country were back fighting for three points so close to the business end of the season.
There were some interesting matchups in the week even as the likes of Arsenal, Manchester City, Manchester United and Southampton were all busy elsewhere and skipped this round.
Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur managed to put in decent performances to go all the way to a victory while Liverpool failed to take even a points from this game.
Leicester City and Crystal Palace took 3 crucial points each from this weekend, making it an interesting one. There were a number of star individual performances that took the league by a storm and here is the team of the week for the 8 games that were played this weekend:
Ben Foster (West Bromwich Albion):
Fast growing into a consistent shot-stopper for the Baggies, Foster, was simply superb in between the sticks, making a number of important saves to help his side to a 2-1 victory over the Cherries this weekend.
Seamus Coleman (Everton):
Up against former teammate Oviedo against Sunderland, Coleman put in a dominating performance n the right flank helping Everton to all three points.
Gareth McAuley (West Bromwich Albion):
The second Baggies player on the list, McAuley was superb against the Bournemouth attackers at the back and he also came up with a goal at the other end to give his side a much-needed victory.
Michael Keane (Burnley):
Though gave away an early penalty, Keane came up with a super goal at the other end to get his team level in a solid performance at the weekend.
Patrick Van Aanholt (Crystal Palace):
Linking up well with the likes of Zaha on the flank, Palace’s fullback Van Aanholt put in a superb shift scoring the only goal in Palace’s victory over Boro this weekend.
Cesc Fabregas (Chelsea):
Arguably his best game this season for the Blues, Fabregas was all over the Swansea defenders, opening the scoring and also creating a number of chances, helping his side to a comfortable victory.
Idrissa Gueye (Everton):
Quickly becoming a star player at the Goodison Park, Gueye scored the first goal of the game and also made more tackles than any other player in this game in a productive game.
Danny Drinkwater (Leicester City):
