Real Madrid is all set to clash against their city rivals Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Final. The captain of Real Madrid, Sergio Ramos has said ahead of the clash that his side is excited for the challenge.
Sergio Ramos’ Real Madrid will take on Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup final.
The Real Madrid captain also mentioned that the loss of Cristiano Ronaldo is huge, but it won’t stop his side from winning.
Ramos said ahead of the all important clash:
“It’s a privilege every time you play in a European Super Cup. It’s a good sign and winning three Champions League, this is the prize. We have a chance to win another title and we are excited for the challenge.”
“Here we have always felt like a family. The key to success is that we have always been, and with Cristiano we felt part of that family. The loss of such an important player like Cristiano is negative but that will not stop us from winning. In the past, top players have passed through here and we always keep winning. He will have to leave us to it and Real Madrid will keep going forward, whatever happens we won’t stop winning. He decided to make the change and I hope that it goes well for him and for us.”
Despite all been done and dusted, Liverool manager Jurgen Klopp keeps talking about the Ramos’ tackled on Salah. However, Ramos has declined to talk about it and also said that the manager might be justifying for the defeat in the final.
“Klopp? I won’t answer the question, his opinion is his opinion. I have given my opinion on the matter, maybe he held my arm first. And I have no intention of hurting a player deliberately. Maybe Klopp is justifying why he lost, he should look at his players and leave us alone. In fact, his opinion doesn’t matter to me. When we voted on the best managers, I voted for him.”
Real Madrid will face Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Super Cup Final on Wednesday at the A. Le Coq Arena.
