Real Madrid were able to get Thibaut Courtois amidst uncertainty over the future of the Belgian at Stamford Bridge in the 2018 summer transfer window.
€35 million for Courtois is a cheap price, as other goalkeepers went well over the costs to create new record deals. The 26-year old is yet to peak in his career and had just won the Golden Glove award for the FIFA World Cup 2018.
