Torino Slap £88 million Price Tag On Manchester United Target Andrea Belotti

Manchester United will need to splash out incredible £88 million of they want to sign Italian striker Andrea Belotti, according to Torino president Urbano Cairo.

The 23-year old has garnered the attention of quite big clubs across Europe as he is considered as one of the best young strikers in the world.

Belotti has managed to score a staggering 26 goals in 35 Series A appearances this season and have assisted 8 more goals, making him one of the most complete strikers in the country.

Manchester United are keen to sign him as the Red Devils are in the market to get a top class striker after releasing Zlatan Ibrahimovic last week.

However, Torino president Cairo has revealed that Belotti is happy to stay at his current club and the only way to sign him is by activating his massive release clause.

The striker has €100m release clause but is considered as the best Italian striker at the moment. He has also scored against Lichtenstein in Italy’s 5-0 win in their latest World Cup qualifier.

‘I care about Belotti and I’m keeping hold of him,’ Cairo told Italian broadcaster Radio 24.

‘He has a contract with Torino until 2021. I would only sell him for €100m [£88m], but even then he can refuse.

‘The most important thing is what he wants, regardless of the release clause, and I believe he wants to stay.

‘We are trying to build the best possible team at Torino.

‘Belotti is busy on international duty [with Italy] at the moment and then he is getting married on Thursday – he invited me.’

The young striker has the potential to become one of the world’s best strikers as he has shown great skills in the recently concluded season.

Belotti is linked with the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and AC Milan but it remains to be seen if Red Devils can manage to sign him in yet another record deal this summer. Jose Mourinho had reportedly spoken to the player on phone back in March but nothing was confirmed on the deal.

The club are also linked with Monaco midfielder Fabinho and Inter Milan forward Ivan Perisic as they already completed the signing of Benfica defender Victor Lindelof.
