The Paul Pogba transfer saga has been the biggest of the summer so far, with the French star likely to head back to Manchester United after a very fruitful spell at Juventus.
Pogba could become the world’s most expensive player if United do land him, and judging by the activity on the Juventus Twitter page, one might be fooled into thinking that a deal was nearing completion.
The Serie A champions have left the 23-year-old out of their latest cover photo. And you could imagine just how football fans translated that.
OMG POGBA NOT ON JUVENTUS’ TWITTER HEADER OMG IS IT HAPPENING?????

Just had a look at Juventus’ new header for their twitter page. It doesn’t feature Pogba on it at all. For me this is quite big. – #mufc

There is such a wave of transfer rumours surrounding the 23-year-old that it’s hard to believe that no progress has been made.
But it may be the case that Juventus are still unhappy with the terms of the deal and are refusing to let him leave without a fight.
If the two clubs can agree on a deal the Frenchman would become United’s fourth summer signing following the arrivals of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan. If a deal can be concluded Pogba would return to the club he left in 2012.
Earlier this week, Gazzetta Dello Sport led their Tuesday edition with a stunning update on the Juventus midfielder, claiming that ‘the negotiation is now taking shape’ with his former club United, who he recently described as his “first family”.
Gazzetta claimed that ‘Pogba would be offered €12m per season on a five-year contract,’ with the remainder of the €140m representing the transfer fee. They brand it United’s ‘final attack’ for the midfielder.
However, Pogba’s agent Raiola later confirmed that there is no such deal yet with Manchester United.
