Twitter reacts to Ronaldo’s injury and Portugal’s Euro triumph

Last night was undoubtedly the greatest night in the footballing history of Portugal as they defeated France by 1-0 to win their first major trophy. Super-sub Eder scored the only match of the goal in extra time.
Before that, Portugal had a mighty scare as their star player Cristiano Ronaldo was stretchered off injured. The Real Madrid man cried twice in the final on Sunday, once when he was stretchered off injured and again when he ran back on in joy after his Portugal teammates claimed a famous win.
French player Dimitri Payet’s heavy challenge floored Ronaldo in the eighth minute of the game. After getting treatment he returned on the pitch with his left leg bandaged only to be stretchered off with tears in his eyes. The scene brought back the memories of 2004 Euro final, when a young Ronaldo could not stop crying after losing to Greece.
Let us see how the twitterati reacted to Ronaldo’s injury:

This is like the Nike advert if Ronaldo had bumped into Sissoko.
