Villarreal’s Pato, Bonera, Gonzalez recover before FC Zurich tie
Villarreal (Spain), Sep 13 (IANS) Brazilian forward Alexandre Pato, Italian defender Daniele Bonera and Spanish Alvaro Gonzalez have recovered from injuries to give Villarreal big boost before the Spanish football club’s clash against Zurich in an Europa League group stage clash on Thursday.
Pato sustained a sprained ankle that prevented him from playing for nearly two weeks, and has now returned to support Villarreal’s attacking lines, reports Efe.
Bonera is back after a month on the sidelines due to muscular problems, just like his Spanish teammate Alvaro Gonzalez.
Currently Villarreal hold eighth position on La Liga table with five points, and are preparing for Swiss side FC Zurich in Group L of Europa League group stage, which also includes Turkish side Osmanlispor and Steaua Bucuresti from Romania.
