After Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea, the Hammers also join the list of the clubs who want to sign Benfica forward Talisca.
Talisca has had a terrific run with Benfica scoring 9 goals in his first 13 games which subsequently grabbed the attention of Premier League giants.
According to some reports, last year on account of his terrific showmanship Arsenal and Liverpool were ready to pay 18 million pounds which was his release clause but the move never came to be. And with Arsenal on one hand not willing to splurge this January and Jurgen Klopp on the other willing to work in the set up provided to him, Talisca’s move to either of the two clubs seems somewhat unlikely.
But that does not rule out a potential move to England as a Premier League club is fighting tooth and nail to get the Brazilian.
West Ham United are trying to bank on Benfica’s desire to let the forward go elsewhere on a loan due to his patchy form this season. In his 29 appearances this season, the forward has scored a minimal 2 goals making this year potentially tough for him. But West Ham will count on his talents to consolidate their position in the league. Currently, the Hammers occupy the 7th position with 29 points earned in 19 games. However standing in West Ham’s path are Brazilian clubs Flamengo, Cruzeiro and Corinthians, who also want the man to add firepower to their line ups and it will be tough for the Hammers as a chance to play in his own backyard might overshadow the offers from the English club!
