In the latest rankings announced by FIH the Indian hockey team dropped down a place to the 7th in the rankings. The team had jumped to 6th place last month on the back of good showing in the World Hockey League Semi finals in July.
Australia the winners of HIL finals in Raipur continue to occupy top place in the rankings ahead of second place Netherlands and Germany.
With Great Britain remaining fourth, Belgium jumped Argentina (6) and India into fifth place as they finished runners up at HWL finals in the Raipur.
India clinched bronze in the recently concluded World Hockey league finals beating second ranked Netherlands. Here we look at the ranking.
