2014 Asian Games: Heena Sidhu and Co. Clinches Bronze

The Indian shooting contingent added another medal to their tally after women’s 25 m Air Pistol team of World Champion Heena Sidhu, Anisha Sayyad and Rahi Sarnobat clinched the Bronze medal. This is India’s fourth medal in shooting.

The Indian trio managed a total score of 1729 in the finals with a partial score of 863 in wansa and 866 in Rapid Fire. Sidhu shot 291/281 in wansa/Rapid Fire as Sarnobat and Sayyed scored 289/291 and 283/294 respectively. Jingjang Zhang , Ying Chen and Qingyuan Zhou won silver for China with a total score of 1747 with 57X. 

Korean Trio of Jangmi Kim, Junghye Kwak and Jungewn Lee striked Gold with a narrow one point lead over China as the hosts finished with a score of 1748 with 48X. The Indians shooted 45X in their 1729 points.

Heena Sidhu will also take part in the finals of women’s 25 m Air Pistol Finals (Individuals) at 11 AM IST.
