Pro Kabaddi League: Dabang Delhi win a thriller against Puneri Paltans, U Mumba beat Bengal Warriors
The first match of the day saw Dabang Delhi beat Puneri Paltans in a thrilling match, while U Mumba beat Bengal Warriors in the second match of the Pro Kabaddi League 2015 at Kolkata.
Pune started the match earning 2 points with a good raid followed by another raid to take a lead of 4-1, Wazir Singh did the trick for the Pune side. Delhi then came back strongly in the match with a fantastic raid earning 4 points, followed by earning an all out lead 11-5. Delhi was playing very well with 3 back to back raids. Rohit Choudhary and Kashiling Adake performed brilliantly. Delhi earned 2nd all out followed by another raid to get a convincing lead of 25-11 at half time.
Second half resumed on a slow note but Pune came back earning all out and taking their score to 24 in the 27th minute. Time out in 31 minute score at 29-25 was crucial. Pune came back with excellent raids and capturing Pravin and Sameer chiller successively to earn second all out to take the score to 32-31 in favor of Pune in 34th minute. Kashilling’s raid earned 2 points to level the score in 35th minue. Next Mahipal and Wazir earned a point each for Pune. Rohit earned 34th point for Delhi. Rohit earned 11 and Kashiling 9 points to level the score at 35. Then pune’s rohit earned 2 points and Adke earned a point for Delhi. Kashiling earned a touch point to make 37 all. Next Wazir was caught and Delhi won the cliff hanging match.
The match had a slow start and entire first half did not see any exciting moments. Each team earned points by raids or tackle. Anup kumar was more successful, but Shabeer Bapu and Rishank were not successful for U Mumba. For Bengal Warriors Lee and Rajput got good raid points. Both the teams had nearly 10 unsuccessful raids in first half.
At half time score was 11-9 in favour of U Mumba. After the break Parveen raided for Bengal Warriors. In the super tackle Anup was caught and Kolkata earned 2 points. Another super tackle and Rishank was caught and BengaW equalled the score at 13-13. Sunil Jaipal was caught getting 14th point to U Mumba, which was surpassed by third super tackle of Bengal Warriors capturing Shabeer to take them to 15. Rishank was caught in the next raid also. In next raid, Rajput earned 3 points to take the score to 18-14 in favor of Bengal Warriors. Anup kept raiding again and again with no success. In 32nd minute a technical break was taken and decision went in favor of Bengal Warriors to take them to 19-15. Rajput earned his 6th point of the day and 20th for Bengal Warriors.
In the Next raid, Pavan was caught and U Mumba were declared all out. Thus, Bengal Warriors went ahead to 23-16, 8 minute before final whistle. In the next Raid, Anup in his raid earned 3 points with a super raid to take their score to 19. Anup in the next raid earned 2 points again. Next raid by Lee forced a technical time out and decision went to U Mumba and they got all out the opponents to take lead of 25-23.In the succeeding raid Lee was caught getting taking UMumba to 27. Again Sunil Jaipal was also caught adding another point to UM. Bengal Warriors earned their 24th point catching Shabeer. Next Rajput was caught and Kun Lee earned a point. U Mumba won the match at 29-25. The Mumbai outfit maintain their unbeaten streak of 5 matches.
