Mohammad Abbas expresses concerns over Communication problems in the PAK team-

“I had a bit of a conversation with Mohammad Wasim and Ramiz Raja even called me, but I feel that there is a lot of communication problem. Communication problems in the Pakistan team should not have happened,” the Pakistan pacer said.

The right-arm pacer wasn’t considered for selection in the recent series for England and New Zealand in the longer version of the game. Despite having a brilliant season for Hampshire in the 2022 County Championship.

“Effective communication is the key to solving any problem, and this applies to the Pakistan cricket team as well. The management and players must have open and honest discussions to find a solution and improve the two-way communication process for the betterment of the team,” he concluded.

Abbas, who has played 25 Test matches for Pakistan, has taken 90 wickets. He debuted for the Pakistan team in 2017, and the 33-year-old has also played three ODIs in his career.

“I was a little bit sad when England went to Pakistan. I took 50 wickets in here; I took 20 wickets in four-five games in Pakistan, I took two fifers in Pakistan, and even after that, they [PCB] didn’t pick me,” Abbas told BBC Radio.

Abbas expressed his sadness over not being named for Pakistan’s home Test series against England last year. However, the right-arm pacer was grinning with hope and said that his time should arrive sooner or later.

I was a little sad, but this is part of life and cricket. These things are not in your hand. What you can do is work even harder, and if you perform well, then your time shall come. I will try my best, and I hope my time will also come,” concluded Pak pacer.

After the Pakistan team lost the home Test series 0-3 against England (Dec 2022), Najam Sethi took over as the chairman of the country’s cricket board, replacing former cricketer Ramiz Raja.

In addition, Mohammad Wasim, the chief selector, was also sacked with legendary former all-rounder Shahid Afridi taking over the role on an interim basis before Haroon Rasheed was appointed as the chief selector.
