Newcastle United joined the race for Chelsea youngster Armando Borja, who is on a season-long loan at Southampton. The Magpies have a £33 million bid prepared for Broja but face tough competition for the versatile forward as Southampton and West Ham United are also looking to make offers for the Chelsea loanee this month, but the latest reports suggest that Blues are not looking to sell Broja this month.
Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel is looking to give the youngster first-team exposure next season. Broja has scored 5 goals in 18 Premier League matches and 2 goals in 2 EFL games at St. Mary Stadium this season. Chelsea are monitoring his development very closely and if the player performs more consistently then Tuchel is planning big things for Broja next season.

Both Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner are struggling for goals at Stamford Bridge this season and this has cost Chelsea the league title already. Werner has scored 5 goals in 18 overall appearances and Lukaku has scored 7 goals in 23 appearances for the Blues this season. Recent reports suggest that Tuchel is losing patience with both forward starts and looking to sell them this summer. West Ham London giants sit 3rd in the league table with 47 points from 24 matches, 10 points behind leaders Manchester City and have a played a game more.
Newcastle United To Push For Borja Deal This Month?
The 20-year-old Albanian striker has attracted Eddie Howe’s attention this season and Newcastle United were quick to bid for the player. According to a report from Tuttomercatoweb, the Magpies have made a £33 million bid for Armando Borja and they are willing to negotiate to complete the transfer this month. Newcastle United already signed Chris Wood for £30 million to provide competition to Callum Wilson this month but looking at long-term options.

Southampton have also lined up a £25 million bid for Broja and looking to make a permanent transfer this month before his value rise at the end of the season. Leeds United and West Ham United have also approached Chelsea over the enquiry for the in-form striker.
If Newcastle United and Southampton continue to push for Armando Borja with a better transfer offer then it will be hard for Chelsea to stall them. The Blues have a history of loaning out youngsters and selling them afterwards without giving them regular chances, most notable Mohamed Salah and Kevin de Bruyne. Borja will be aware of his chances to break into the first team at Chelsea and will definitely push for an exit this summer.
