Jude Bellingham is lighting up his debut World Cup tournament in Qatar, having scored one and set-up one goal for England so far in 4 games. The midfielder has started all four of England’s games at the tournament, helping them reach the quarterfinals while putting a solid display against Senegal in the Round of 16. Bellingham nicely teed up Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson, who slotted in the opener from close range.
With the Dortmund midfielder improving with each game at the World Cup, his market value too is surging up the chart. Bellingham is being highly tipped for a move next summer, with many of Europe’s elite clubs already registering their interest. Real Madrid, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and PSG are all reportedly in contacts with the Bellingham’s agent, as the midfielder is slated to make his decision only after the World Cup.
Fans asks Jude Bellingham to join Real Madrid as Henderson appears to play down the idea
As soon as the it became highly likely that Jude Bellingham is prepping for a move away from Signal Iduna Park, Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool were the first side to enquire about the teenager’s price. Liverpool even tried to land the hot prospect in the summer, when they were in dire need of midfield reinforcements. With Thiago, Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Curtis Jones all injured, and and ageing midfield of Jordan Henderson, James Milner and Fabinho failing to cope with the pressure, Klopp demanded a new midfielder.
Liverpool planned for a long term solution rather than a panic buy, as Jude Bellingham was on top of their priority list. However, Dortmund held out in their £100 million price tag, which fend-off the Reds’ interest. But they have promised to return for him next summer, as inside sources suggest the midfielder too wants a move to the Merseyside club. Liverpool are now carving out a plan to secure funds for Bellingham’s signing, as the club is ready to let go of Oxlade Chamberlain and Naby Keita whose contracts expire by next summer.
A possible change of ownership could also help boost Liverpool’s chances of landing the midfielder. If all new owners come through the door at Anfield before next summer, they will surely want to make a statement by putting the money where their mouth is, and straight away swoop in Bellingham. However, the likes of Real Madrid and Manchester City too are being tipped as the frontrunners, with the former trying to lure him with the chance of winning the Champions League at earliest than the other potential suitors.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid fans too have upped their efforts, as one of them caught up with the player straight away in Qatar. The Los Blancos’ fan had a quick exchange with Bellingham, who was accompanied by Liverpool stars Jordan Henderson and Trent Alexander-Arnold. The fans urges Bellingham to ‘come to Real Madrid’, as the Dortmund star remains tight-lipped. On the other hand, Henderson hilariously tries to tell the fan that the former Birmingham midfielder won’t be joining Real, as the fan too gives back the stick by reminding the Liverpool captain their last season’s Champions League defeat in the finals at the hands of Carlo Ancelotti’s men.
While the three players break out in utter laughter, it remains a mystery to see where Jude Bellingham goes next. Real Madrid won’t rule themselves out just now, since they are clearly better placed to win another Champions League title before Liverpool do. Moreover, they boast an exciting, youthful midfield now in the likes of Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga and Fede Valverde. Elsewhere, Manchester City could provide him the prospect of reunion with his former teammate and close friend Erling Haaland, and the chance to play under one of greatest managers Pep Guardiola.
