WWE News: Big Update On Rey Mysterio’s Shoulder Injury
Rey Mysterio reportedly picked up an injury at Money In The Bank cutting down his match against Samoa Joe to a short extent. These two veterans were unable to go at each other with their very best at Wrestlemania due to the very same reason. The May 19th was no exception after which WWE had to officially announce that the masked superstar was dealing with an injury.
This puts certain uncertainties around the career of Rey Mysterio who just won the United States Championship at Money in the Bank. This also marked a great moment for him since he became a Grand Slam Champion which only a very few superstars can claim. But the winning celebrations were short due to the injury i.e. his dislocated shoulder.
Now more updates are available on Rey Mysterio and his injured shoulder as the superstar himself took Instagram-handle to let us know about his body condition. As per the comments, he disjoined part of the AC joints. But the PCP lab us helping him out to put those back together. Hopefully, we will soon get to know how much time he has to stay out of action.
You can check out his comments posted from California,
“So after Sunday’s Money In The Bank match against Samoa Joe which—there are still some issues that need to be cleared up after that 1,2,3, but due to the result at the end of the match I separated a little bit of my AC joint, and we’re doing some PRP sessions here at the lab. Hopefully, this will improve my range of motion, which has been really bad.”
We should add that PWInsidrer.com previously reported that Rey Mysterio visited Birmingham, Alabama to meet with WWE doctors. This is the place where most of the WWE superstars undergoes surgery in case they need to do so. So speculations were rife about Mysterio also going under the knives and missing a long time. But till date, there’s no confirmation on a requires surgery.
This will be a piece of good news for an older star like Rey Mysterio of therapy sessions can cure him. If going through a surgery, he’d have no choice but to relinquish his United States Championship. WWE has already announced they’d let us know about the future of the prestigious title on next week’s Monday Night Raw. Hopefully, the Master of 619 does not have to give up the title.
