Evolution PPV marked a new beginning in the WWE programming. The women superstars from the roster received their own exclusive event via this show. They exercised this opportunity to the fullest extent making it a worldwide successful event. It’s interesting to note that WWE never promoted this show as much in comparison to the Crown Jewel PPV show.

But Evolution turned out to be one of the best PPV night of the year. It showcased the talents and potential of the current female roster of the company. Their performance made this show one of the most critically acclaimed events of the year 2018. The trend continued on the social media all over the day of the show. Compared to this, Crown Jewel was one of the worst PPV night of the year.
Review of Evolution with Twitter reactions
Going forward, fans do demand to see Evolution on a yearly basis on WWE programming. However, the assurance is yet to come from the WWE officials. Backstage reactions have been great about the overall success of the show. However, the entire arena was not completely filled up. WWE commentators did mention that WWE managed to sell all the tickets. But the reality was that 60 to 70 percent seats were full.
Apart from this one-off negativity, there was not even a single drawback for the Evolution PPV. The crowd was raucous than ever for each of the matches of the show. It was a good indication that all of the women were capable to draw attention from the crowd. This is why Joe Peisich mentioned on Barnburner’s Fired Up Podcast that Evolution might become an annual trend,
“It looks like the Evolution pay-per-view will not be a 1-time only pay-per-view. I hear that they’re going to continue tradition year after year.”
One of the hosts of Evolution also spoke up about the future of Evolution PPV. Triple H appeared in an interview with Sky Sports to indicate that the box-office success means a lot to the WWE officials. It does not necessarily have to be an all-men or all-women show. But the success that one particular show gets decides its future. So seeing another edition of the women’s show is more than possible, (courtesy sescoops.com)
“It doesn’t matter if that’s Raw, Smackdown, NXT, Wrestlemania. So can they have their own event? Can it be a mainstay? Yes, and if our fans want it and it’s the right thing then we’ll give it to them. The WWE universe will dictate to us what the approach is.”
There’s no doubt that Evolution covered the expectations from the WWE Universe. The crowd at the Veterans Memorial Nassau Coliseum in Uniondale, New York was on their feet during the incredible matches throughout the evening. The Last Woman Standing match is a must-mention on this context which stole the show. Well, the fans would not mind seeing more of these actions from female superstars as an annual affair.
