WWE News: Shane McMahon-The Miz To Compete At Fastlane For Tag Team Titles

Shane McMahon has now found himself in another match at the upcoming pay-per-view event named Fastlane. He will team up with The Miz, once again in order to capture the Smackdown tag team championships. As announced on last night’s show, they are getting a rematch from Elimination Chamber against The Usos.

The Miz appeared on Smackdown begging for an opportunity to prove their potential as the best tag team. So Shane McMahon could not help but handing him the match he was asking for. Later, WWE.com also confirmed the match at Fastlane,

“The A-Lister returned to SmackDown LIVE and asked Shane to grant them a rematch for the titles. Though Shane-O-Mac hesitated at first, he decided that The Usos’ aggression would not stand when they came calling. Can the self-proclaimed “Best Tag Team in the World” overcome SmackDown’s longest-tenured tag team? Don’t miss WWE Fastlane on Sunday, Feb. 17, at 7 ET/4 PT to see which team is left standing, streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network!”

Who is Shane McMahon facing at Wrestlemania 35?

We should note that Fastlane will take place at the Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland, Ohio on March 10th. It is the hometown of The Miz who is coming home on that night. Shane McMahon also confirmed that Miz’s father will be present at ringside at the final PPV event prior to Wrestlemania. The A-lister would be eager to win back the tag team titles on a special occasion like this.

The so-called gimmick of the ‘best tag team in the world’ came to an abrupt end at Elimination Chamber. Shane McMahon and The Miz were the two besties who performed as a team at Royal Rumble. They won the Smackdown tag team championships on that night defeating the Bar. Another defense was waiting for them at Elimination Chamber.

This time around, The Usos were their opponents and capitalize using their veteran skills. Jimmy Uso pinned The Miz to win back the Smackdown tag team championship. Shane McMahon was irate about this epic failure from Ths Miz. He was not even interested to talk to his partner after Elimination Chamber PPV was over.

This led us to the segment presented on last night’s Smackdown. The Miz was all set to issue an apology to Shane McMahon. This was mandatory for him as the authority figure warned him earlier not to let him down. But he did so and was out to accept the failure. The raised tensions between these two for sometimes. But they will act as a tag team until the Fastlane pay-per-view passes by. They should be on the same page to win back those titles.
