The ongoing King of the Ring tournament has been a major attraction for WWE Raw and SmackDown Live for the past couple of weeks. It has brought back the enriched legacy attached to this whole series that let a number of Hall of Famers born. The next one is up for grabbing the accolade among the eight superstars surviving in the mix. The finale of the tournament is set to take place at the Clash of Champions pay-per-view event on September 15th.

The quarterfinal matches are up next that takes place on this week’s episodes of Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live. We have received potential outcomes of the two matches set from the flagship show. Samoa Joe takes on Ricochet whereas Cedric Alexander will compete against Baron Corbin in these two knockout competitions. It appears that a babyface and heel superstar will emerge victorious from these two lineups to advance in the King of the Ring semi-final.

Former United States Champion Ricochet is the favorite to win against Samoa Joe. According to reports from Slice Wrestling, Ricochet is up for a major push in WWE. So he almost a locked-in option to reach the finals of the King Of The Ring 2019 tournament. The officials are pretty high on this superhero figure that he has been establishing. So we must not be surprised if he eventually comes out as the winner.

One of the big reasons behind Ricochet’s success is his popularity among the young audience. He is over with the kids and his merchandise selling reports are pretty good as well. So we see him as the darkhorse to come up as the winner of King of the Ring 2019 and go on to achieve bigger things in the future. Even a feud is reportedly there against the Universal Champion Seth Rollins in 2020.

As for the other quarterfinal King of the Ring match set for Raw, an injury will turn out to be the deciding factor. Cedric Alexander defeated Sami Zayn to get a shot against Samoa Joe while advancing. According to Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE has written a leg injury for him which will take him out of the tournament. But at the same time, he won’t be having a pinfall loss that’d protect his character.
