WWE News: Things Get Volatile At Women’s Championship Contract Signing On Smackdown
Smackdown women’s division is set to make history at WWE TLC. It is the final PPV event of the year which will witness a solid match from the female roster. In fact, it might become the main event of the night. Becky Lynch will defend her championship against Charlotte Flair and Asuka, at the same time in a triple threat match.
That’s not it as they will be competing in a Tables, Ladders and Chairs match. This is the first time ever that the women will go on to compete in such a capacity which can put their career in jeopardy. But these three names are the very best from the female roster and hence we can expect to see a firecracker contest, as of later.
WWE needed to hype up this match. So the company announced a contract signing segment on Smackdown Live. Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, and Asuka needed to put down their signatures to make this match official at WWE TLC. WWE.com already hinted that this could turn out to be a volatile affair. These ladies can go physical at any point to keep the momentums going on.
However, things went in a different way as a verbal confrontation broke out inside the ring. Becky Lynch decided to walk away from the scene after Charlotte Flair blasted her saying that she’s all talk. Asuka also claimed that Becky Lynch did not beat her to date in a match. So the Smackdown women’s champion did not feel to be in the ring to get insulted.
But Charlotte Flair and Asuka soon got a company in the ring. Mandy Rose is having a problem for not getting the attention over the past several weeks. This time around, she came out with her partner, Sonya Deville. This helped the general manager Paige to announce a tag team match on Smackdown.
The dream team of Charlotte Flair and Asuka failed to come up with the win due to a miscommunication. Charlotte hit Asuka with a boot thinking that it was Mandy Rose. The former NXT Champ did not spare Flair without a reply. She delivered a flying kick that handed Sonya Deville the pinfall win. Becky Lynch had a closer look at the match from the commentary table during this entire time. But she chose not to go physical with her TLC opponents.
