WWE News: Update On Elimination Chamber And Fastlane PPV Events In 2019

The year 2018 is coming to an end and so is the PPV schedule of the WWE. We will see the final PPV event for this year on December 16th. WWE TLC is back in its original spot after having a one-off schedule in September in 2017. The SAP Center in San Jose, California will host this show oriented with the Tables, Ladders and Chairs gimmick. This is also going to be the final WWE Network special event for this year.

Change in plan for TLC after Strowman’s surgery

2019 will begin with the usual schedule of WWE programming i.e. Royal Rumble. It is going to be the first PPV event of the year on January 27th. WWE is keeping bigger arrangements for this show that will take place in a 60000-seater arena in Phoenix, Arizona. The Road to Wrestlemania 35 will also begin via this special show which is also the first of the big-four PPVs of a year.

Survivor Series announcement for 2019

Following this, WWE will host two more PPVs until we get the Wrestlemania 35 PPV on the WWE Network. Elimination Chamber will be the next show following Royal Rumble according to the reports of Wrestling Observer Newsletter. It will take place on February 17th. WWE Fastlane will be the next stop or we should say the final stop before going to the biggest event of the year. This one will come live from Cleveland, Ohio on March 10th.

WWE is yet to confirm these two events’ schedule on their official website. Here’s the schedule for the first four PPV events for 2019,

Royal Rumble-January 27th, Chase Field Arena (Phoenix, Arizona)
Elimination Chamber-February 17th, Toyota Center (Houston, Texas)
Fastlane-March 10th, Quicken Loans Arena (Cleveland, Ohio)
Wrestlemania 35-April 7th, MetLife Stadium (East Rutherford, New York, New Jersey)

As the above schedule suggests, WWE officials will get less than one month to make proper build-up to Wrestlemania 35. The schedule also confirms that WWE did not change the usual events that lead us to the biggest event of the year. The only difference from the last two years is that both Elimination Chamber and Fastlane events will be dual-branded events. WWE confirmed only two events following Wrestlemania 35 those are Summerslam in Toronto and Survivor Series in Chicago.
