WWE Mixed Match Challenge is in its playoff stages right now. The first episode from the elimination round took place on this past Tuesday night after Smackdown. Two teams from WWE Raw made their way into the semi-finale. Team Mahalicia (Jinder Mahal and Alicia Fox) and team B n B (Finn Balor and Bayley) qualified for the semi-finals.
Jinder Mahal and Fox defeated the team of Curt Hawkins and Ember Moon whereas Balor and Bayley defeated Country Dominance i.e. Lashley and Mickie James. The next playoff round will take place, next Tuesday night where four teams from Smackdown Live will square off to cement their spots at the semi-finale.
Team Awe-ska (The Miz and Asuka), will take on against Fabulous Truth (R Truth and Carmella). The team of Charlotte Flair and Jeff Hardy and the husband-wife pairing of Nami and Jimmy Uso will lock horns in the second match. It is not hard to predict the two favorite teams who will eventually win these two matches and go to the next round.
Additionally, WWE’s recent announcement for WWE TLC might have declared the winner of this year’s Mixed Match Challenge. At least we can predict the two teams that could end up getting on the finale card. This match will eventually take place at the same PPV event on December 16th. One of the main events of the night will be the first-ever WWE TLC match for the women.
Becky Lynch will defend the Smackdown women’s championship against Charlotte Flair and Asuka at WWE TLC. It’s worth to note that both of the contenders in this match are involved in the Mixed Match Challenge. Heading into the finale will force them to compete in two matches in one single night. It should not be likely for these women superstars.
The stakes will be high since they will have to compete in a WWE TLC match later the night. Injuries might occur which will force the creative team to plan the finale card, accordingly. Hence, the prediction is Team Awe-ska and Team Hardy-Flair will not enter the final round. Anyone from Team Fabulous Truth or Team Day One Glow will compete at WWE TLC, instead.
However, these two are not the favorites to win the Mixed Match Challenge at WWE TLC. From WWE Raw, Team B n B is a smart choice as they are the one team that got along well from the very beginning. Plus, they are the better team in comparison to Team Mahalicia from the red side. This would also offer Finn Balor and Bayley the #30 spot at Royal Rumble.
