Wrestlemania 35 is waiting for us on April 7th with a huge match card. speculations are running high about that one match which will turn out to be the main event of the event.
Whoever superstar earns this opportunity to main event Wrestlemania, becomes part of history. It is lifetime achievement in their resume that nobody wants to give away so easily. WWE also takes a slow but steady step while picking the match that will close the show becoming the main event of the night.
Sometimes, it becomes really tough to find out the main event match of Wrestlemania and the officials decide it on the day of the show, itself. But this year, they might have made up their mind already. At least, recent reports suggest that WWE has locked in the marquee match of the ‘show of shows’ and it will be an all-women affair.
Sports Illustrated revealed that the current plan is to have WWE RAW Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey vs. Becky Lynch be the main event of WrestleMania 35. The latter name won the Royal Rumble match for the female superstars and picked the women’s champion from Monday Night Raw. The grandest stage of the year will go down on April 7th at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Currently, WWE is advertising this one as a one-on-one match at Wrestlemania 35. But Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported that it would convert into a triple threat match. Charlotte Flair will join Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch to set up the biggest match in the history of the WWE from the women’s division.
For a couple of years now, WWE has been setting up the women superstars for the main event stage of Wrestlemania. Currently, they are more than ready to deliver a show-stellar performance. With Becky Lynch being the most popular superstar of this industry, it only seems fitting that she goes on to the main event, directly.
The other match in speculation for the Wrestlemania main event is the bout over the Universal Championship. This is the only other title match confirmed other than the women’s title match. Seth Rollins won the Royal Rumble 2019 and will now challenge Brock Lesnar for the prime championship present on Monday Night Raw brand.
