WWE News: WWE To Add New Stipulation For Wrestlemania 35 Main Event
The first-ever women’s division main event at Wrestlemania is just six days from us. Smackdown women’s champion Charlotte Flair is all set to face Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch for the RAW Women’s Championship at Wrestlemania 35. It would be a triple threat match under no-DQ rules appropriate for the ladies.
However, that’s not a major concern around the WWE Universe, right now. The complexion of this match changed on last week’s Smackdown where Charlotte ended up becoming the women’s champion on the blue brand. The question will her title will also be on the line at Wrestlemania?
Previous updates suggested that WWE might be planning to unify the WWE Raw and Smackdown Women’s Championship in this Wrestlemania main event match. This could have made the stakes higher than anything for the women’s division. But it looks like the management has changed the decision.
As per Wrestling Observer Newsletter (Via Cagesideseats.com), the idea is not to merge the women’s Championships at Wrestlemania main event. Rather it will be a loss for that specific champion who suffers the pinfall or submission. She will have to drop her belt at the ‘show of shows’.
It means if anyone from the existing champions can get pinned or submitted, she will no more be the champion. Be it, Rousey with the Raw title or Charlotte Flair with the SmackDown title, no one will be safe heading into the show of Wrestlemania. Becky seems to be the safest person in this case since she is not a champion.
The same source stated another possibility regarding the women’s championship match. It could be a match where everything will be on the line to determine the ultimate champion of the match plus the women’s division, (via SportsKeeda.com)
“WOR reported earlier today that the stipulation for the headliner could be a “Winner take all” one. If Becky wins, she would become the Raw Champion if she pins or submits Rousey, and would become the SmackDown Champion if she ends up doing the same to Charlotte.”
In case, Charlotte Flair pins or submits Ronda Rousey or the reverse process happens, then we will crown a dual women’s champion in the WWE. All of these outcomes are pure speculations at this point. We are likely to get a clarification on the go home show of Raw on this Monday Night.
