WWE Raw Full Results: August 5th, 2019

Last night marked the go-home episode of WWE Raw for Summerslam that takes place on this Sunday night. WWE already confirmed Universal Heavyweight Champion Brock Lesnar for the show but we’re in doubt whether his opponent shows up after the beating from last week. Also, we anticipated knowing Roman Reigns’ attacker on the show that took place at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

We get a ten bell salute to open WWE Raw for the gun-attack victims of Texas and Ohio. Samoa Joe was out first who went on a rant as people blamed him for the sneak attack on Roman Reigns on Smackdown. Women’s Champion Becky Lynch walked out to interrupt as she had the opening match to compete in.

It was a tag team match on WWE Raw Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair teamed up against Natalya and Trish Stratus. Flair was in control of the match for the most part before willingly walking out of the match. Natalya locked in the Sharpshooter on Becky Lynch who held the ropes. But Nattie never loosened the hold making the match a Disqualification. Trish Stratus scared away Natalya to end the segment.

We received a video showing Andrade ripping off Rey Mysterio’s mask on last week’s WWE Raw. These two competed in a rematch from last week as Andrade started with a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker but Rey countered with an Enziguiri. The match progressed as Rey hit the 619 but missed the splash. Zelina Vega distracted Rey as Andrade hit the Hammerlock DDT for the victory.

Mike and Maria Kanellis had a doctor’s appointment where Mike hugged her in a way to pin her and win the WWE 24/7 Title. Soon R-Truth appeared in disguise and pin Mike to become the new WWE 24/7 Champion.

WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar came out on WWE Raw with Paul Heyman who cut a usual promo until Seth Rollins interrupted the segment. He limped out with a chair in hand only to become a prey of the beast, again. Lesnar ambushed him with a chair before delivering an F-5 on it. Rollins denied to receive any medical attention and walked out on his own despite being hurt.

The Viking Raider squashed two local opponents in a match after which Drew McIntyre took on Cedric Alexander on WWE Raw. WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was the special guest referee of the match. Cedric fought out of an inverted Alabama Slam and connect with a DDT on his opponent. Suddenly the arena darkened as we saw The Fiend Bray Wyatt inside the ring. He choked out Kurt Angle with the Mandible Claw as the ongoing match came to an unexpected end.

The SmackDown Tag Team Champions Big E and Xavier Woods had a match against WWE Raw Tag Team Champions Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. WWE United States Champion AJ Styles interfered to disqualify the contest as the OC ganged up on E and Woods. Ricochet neutralized them and started a six-man tag team match. Ricochet and AJ brawled out of the ring when Anderson and Gallows hit a Magic Killer on Woods to win the match.

Samoa Joe continued his rant on how people disfigured him as Roman Reigns’ attacker. He was waiting for Reigns to come down on WWE Raw as they finally met on the parking lot. They were having a conversation when a car suddenly came driving up to crash into the SUV that almost hurt Reigns. Luckily he jumped out of the way but damaged his shoulder. The medical team continued checking on him as we went to a commercial.

Fatal 4 Way Elimination Match for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Titles was next on WWE Raw. The Kabuki Warriors vs. Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs. Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville vs. The IIconics was the full lineup. Rose eliminated the IIconins by pinning Kay with a clothesline. Asuka Lock was in for Mandy Rose who tapped out to suffer elimination. Alexa Bliss then hit the Twisted Bliss to pin Kairi Sane and win the women’s tag titles with Nikki Cross.

A special edition of Miz TV was next, where The Miz introduced WWE Hall of Famer Shawn Michaels to ensure the Summerslam contract signing with Dolph Ziggler happens, smoothly. The Miz broke out the news that Ziggler will not face the Miz at Summerslam but another WWE legend. Goldberg’s music started to play as he came out in a huge pop from the crowd. He went right after Ziggler who retreated from the ring only to run into a Superkick from Michaels as WWE Raw went off the air.
