Daniel Bryan brought a freshness in his character following the heel-turn. Being the universal babyface figures reduced the multiple dimensions he used to have. The fact that he was away from in-ring competition for a long time also did not work out well for him. This might be the reason that the YES movement was not that much effective once the comeback happened at Wrestlemania 34.
The veteran himself wanted to take a heel-turn to encounter the problem that got approved by Vince McMahon. As a result, Daniel Bryan received the WWE Championship defeating AJ Styles with a low blow. The new champion has been acting like a psychotic person that some of the fans might not like, at all. But the villainous gimmick is likely to help him in a long run.
Meanwhile, it looks like that Daniel Bryan will work in limited WWE shows. Sescoops.com reported that the champion is already working on specific dates since winning the championship. He is also not going to show up in some of the live-event shows later this week hinting he will be away from the scene. We should also let you know that he did not perform at the WWE Starrcade show on this past Saturday in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Then he chose not to perform on this Sunday’s live show Madison, WI. The source added that WWE has removed Daniel Bryan from weekend’s Smackdown Live house show events. The two shows scheduled for this weekend will take place at Arlington, Texas and Calgary, Canada. He was not there at Tuesday’s SmackDown Television taping in Minneapolis, Minnesota. We expect him to appear on next episode of Smackdown in Frank Erwin Center in Austin Texas.
So the indication is that Daniel Bryan has already started working on specific dates. He will continue to do so in the near future. WWE wants to keep the WWE Champion on the house shows as a special attraction. They did the same with AJ Styles for the better part of his championship reign. But the norm would change considering Bryan’s concussion history.
While signing a new WWE contract, Daniel Bryan wanted to work in a similar schedule to stay away from another concussion. His age is also growing to make the body to injury-prone. Hence, it will be a smart move for the WWE to use him in this limited schedule.
