WWE Rumor: The Undertaker To Take Retirement After Wrestlemania 35
The Wrestlemania 33 match between Roman Reigns and Undertaker was supposedly the last match for the latter one. He left his in-ring gear inside the ring to indicate that the legend might not step his foot inside the ring ever again. But WWE brought him back in a better than ever shape from Wrestlemania 34 onwards. He squashed John Cena under just 4 minutes.
Thereafter, Undertaker also competed in a couple of more matches at Greatest Royal Rumble and Super Show Down. He appeared in the Madison Square Garden show for the one last time, perhaps. Now, the Crown Jewel PPV also witnessed him competing against DX members in a huge tag team match.
This could very well be one of his very last matches of the career of the Undertaker. Going by the recent reports, the Phenome is finally heading to the dawn of his career. 2019 will mark the end to the greatest career that the sports entertainment has ever witnessed. Perhaps, the biggest event of the year would see Deadman walking for one final time.
Joe Peisich reported the same on the Barnburner’s No Holds Barred podcast. He clarified that Undertaker will compete in his last match at Wrestlemania 35 in New York. Additionally, he also hinted that the legend is also the favorite to go into the Hall of Fame, at the same time. Here are the reports via Ringsidenews.com,
“It looks like the Undertaker will be, from what I hear, retiring officially at WrestleMania this year, and go into the Hall of Fame before WrestleMania. I hear Undertaker and Batista are the two marquee names for Hall of Fame induction.”
Whenever Wrestlemania comes around, we keep on speculate whether this would be the final match of the Undertaker. This has been the norm regarding his career for the past few years. It looks like the rumors will become true finally at a point when his career hits the landmark of exact 30 long years.
Undertaker taking retirement is a long due from his body perspective. He has already undergone a devastating hip surgery that made him wrestling in borrowed time, perhaps. But being a marquee name makes each of his appearances, a must-watch for the fans. We hope that the creative team will arrange a proper send-off for him at Wrestlemania 35 if retirement rumors are true.
