Australian Open 2014: Day 6 wrap up – Rafael Nadal Andy Murray and Roger Federer sails through to the next round

Day 6 of Australian Open saw a similar pattern continue in
terms of the top seeds in both Men’s and Women’s circuit going through to the
next round of 2014’s first Grand Slam at Melbourne.

The top seed Rafael Nadal seemed to be ‘In-The-Zone’ against
his French counterpart Gael Monfils wrapping up the first two sets losing just
3 games combined. He lost a further three games in the 3rd set dropping just
half-a-dozen games en-route to the fourth round of the open.

In other top seeds, Andy Murray and Roger Federer along with
Wilfred Tsonga went through in straight sets. In the women’s circuit, World No.
2 Victoria Azarenka, 3rd seeded Maria Sharapova, 5th seed Agnieszka Radwanska,
and 8th seed Jelena Jankovic all made it through to the next round on the first
Saturday of the Open.

Among the seeded players, No. 11 Milos Raonic from men’s and
10th seeded Caroline Wozniacki got knocked out of the Grand-Slam which still
witnessed scorching temperatures which touched early 40 degrees Celsius.
