Indian Aces win inaugural IPTL match

The IPTL started yesterday to a great start as Indian Aces beat the Singapore Slammers in the opening game. The match was won by 26-16 (number games won).

The first set was the mixed doubles where Sania Mirza and Rohan Bopanna (Indian Aces) teamed up and beat Bruno Soares and Daniela Hantuchova (Singapore Slammers) by 6-4.

Then in the legends set, Santoro of Aces won against Pat Rafter of Slammers by 6-5, giving the crowd the first shoot out of the tournament.

Singapore Slammers won the men’s doubles which included Tomas Berdych and Nick Krygios against Rohan Boapanna and Gael Monfils by 6-2.

The women’s single set was taken by the Aces, winning it by 6-0, where Ana Ivanovic (Aces) and Daniela Hantuchova (Slammers) was a part of.

Gael Monfils of the Aces finished things of after a comprehensive win over Lleyton Hewitt to set up the victory for Indian Aces.
