Kei Nishikori who was ranked no.4 heading into the tournament suffered a first round exit which moved him 2 places down and founds himself in the 6th position. Wawrinka has been moved to no.4 in the world after his impressive run in the US Open reaching the semi-finals. Giles Simon has broken into top 10 while Murray, Nadal and Berdych retained their positions.
