Australian Open 2015: Andy Murray beats Berdych to book the ticket for final
Andy Murray defeted Tomas Berdych 6-7(6-8) , 6-0 , 6-3, 7-5 to enter the final of the first grand slam of the Australian Open 2015. This would be 4th Australian Open final for the number 6th seed.
Both players started well in the first set as both were able to hold their serves and the set went to the tie breaker, Berdych held on to the nerves, taking the first set 7-6. Murray’s ground strokes from the base line were too hot for Berdych to handle in the second set as Murray broke Berdych 3 times and in just half n hour, “Murray’ leveled the match, taking the second set 6-0.
In the third set “Berdych’ looked tired and Murray did not take time to cash on it as he broke the number 7 when the score was 3-3. Murray took the third set with a beautiful ace, finishing the set 6-3.
Fourth set also saw both player holding on to their serves , when it was 3-3 , “Berdych’ got two break points to take the lead but Murray kept on fighting to take the game and finally the match beating “Berdych’ 7-5.
Murray will now face either Novak Djokovic or Stanislas Wawrinka in the final on Sunday. After the match “Andy’ also praised his current coach, former player “Amelie Mauressemo’ saying , she has proved that even “Women’ can be good coaches and I see no reason that why it can not happen in future.
In the women’s draw, it is again the big names that have made it to the finals . Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova will battle it out for the final on Saturday.
