Rohan Bopanna-Mergea lose in the semi-finals of Wimbledon

Rohan Bopanna-Mergea lost their semi-finals to Rojer-Tecau in a thrilling five-setter in the men’s doubles. The game’s scoreline was 4-6, 6-2,6-3, 4-6 and 13-11. It was an excellent match which went on for 3 hours and 23 minutes.

In the first set, Bopanna was broken in the very first game but Mergea’s returns saw them get a break back. The pair also broke Tecau and took the first game 6-4. Bopana/Mergea attacked and play some excellent shots to put pressure on Tecau/Rojer.

In the second set, Rojer/Tecau broke the service of Bopana/Mergea twice and it was an easy game for Dutch-Romanian pair won the second set easily 6-2. The Dutch/ Romanian pair dominated the second set and never allowed Bopana comeback in the game.

In the third set, Rojer/ Tecau dominated the play and broke the service of Bopana/ Mergea to win the third set 6-3.

In the fourth set, Bopana/ Mergea trailing 1-2 cameback strongly and broke the service of Rojer/ Tecau. Bopana/ Mergea won the fourth set 6-4. In the fourth set Bopana/ Mergea made a great comeback. 

In the final and deciding set both the pairs held their service till 23 games. In the 24th game Bopana/ Mergea service was broken and the match ended in favor of Rojer/Tecau. It was a brilliant effort by Bopana/ Mergea who played some excellent tennis.
