Double delight for India as Sania Mirza and Leander Paes reach the Doubles final yet again post their Wimbledon glory.

Both the Indians paired up with the Swiss Martina Hingis who played two doubles matches with Leander Paes and Sania Mirza on Wednesday. She emerged victorious on both the events and will be playing in the finals along with the Indian partners.

The no.1 doubles seed defeated the eleventh seeded Italian duo Sara Errani and Flavia Pennetta 6-4, 6-1 in a match which lasted for 77 minutes.

Sania and Martina will face the winner of the second semi-final between fourth seeds Casey Dellacqua/Yaroslava Shvedova and Anna-Lena Groenefeld/Coco Vandeweghe in the summit clash.

In the mixed doubles event, the Indo-Swiss pair Leander Paes and Martina Hingis defeated second-seeded Yung-Jan Chan of Taiwan who was partnering India’s Rohan Bopanna 6-2, 7-5.

Out of three Indians, two of them made their way to the finals while Bopanna’s US Open run comes to an end.
