India vs Australia 2017, 1st T20, Ranchi

India won the first T20 against Australia by nine wickets via D/L method. The Australian team suffered another loss on their tour of India as they lost the first T20 by nine wickets via D/L method. The Aussies were 118/8 when rain interrupted play. The Indians were then set a target of 48 runs in 6 overs which the hosts achieved losing just one wicket and three balls to spare. Australian middle order struggled to establish a partnership in the middle overs which resulted in a low target after the D/L method.

Sri Lanka vs Pakistan 2017, 2nd Test, Dubai

Sri Lanka was in full control of the second Test as they posted a huge total of 482 courtesy Karunaratne’s 196. Niroshan Dickwella and Dilruwan Perera scored the fifties to provide solid company to Karunaratne. Yasir Shah was the pick of the bowler for Pakistan as he finished with 6 for 184. He became the first bowler to take five-wicket hauls in five consecutive Test matches.

South Africa vs Bangladesh 2017, 2nd Test, Bloemfontein

South Africa was in cruise control mode as they scored 573/4 and dismissed Bangladesh for 147 in the first innings. In the second innings, Bangladesh was 51/2. Kagiso Rabada picked up five wickets in the first innings. Dean Elgar, Aiden Markram, Hashim Amla and Faf Du Plessis scored centuries in the first innings for South Africa.

Mohammed Amir Ruled Out

Mohammed Amir has been ruled out of the ongoing second Test against Sri Lanka. He will also be unavailable for the one-day series. He has been ruled out due to a stress-related injury in his right shin and has been advised rest for two to three weeks.

FIFA World Cup Under-17, Germany vs Costa Rica

Germany won their opening fixture of the World Cup 2-1 against Costa Rica with a late winner in the 89th minute. Germany opened the scoring, but Costa Rica pulled it back in the second half only to give it away in the dying moments.

FIFA World Cup Under-17, Brazil vs Spain

Brazil prevailed over Spain 2-1 in one of the toughly contested matches in the tournament. All the goals came in the first half of the match. Spain dominated the majority of the second half but could not find the back of the net. Spain scored the first goal of the match in the fifth minute.

FIFA World Cup Under-17, Iran vs Guinea

Iran won their first match 3-1 against much weaker side Guinea. Iran dominated throughout the match but conceded in injury time to give Guinea a consolation goal.

FIFA World Cup Under-17, North Korea vs Niger

Niger won their first match 1-0 against North Korea. Both the teams enjoyed equal possession and had numerous chances to score. However, only one chance had some meaning to it and gave Niger the victory.

Lewis Hamilton is on the verge of winning his fourth World Championship as he won the 2017 Japanese Grand Prix and extended his lead to 59 points over second placed Sebastian Vettel who retired with an engine issue.

FIFA World Cup 2019 Qualifier, UEFA

Netherland won their match 3-1 against Belarus to stay in contention for a World Cup spot. France also edged past Bulgaria to stay on top in their group. Ronaldo also scored coming off the bench to win the match for Portugal.
