India vs Australia 2017: 5th ODI, Nagpur
India won the fifth and final ODI by seven wickets played in Nagpur, courtesy a brilliant century by Rohit Sharma. India won the series 4-1. Sharma scored 125, which was also the first century by an Indian batsman in the series. Australia scored 242/9 in the first innings. India achieved the target in 42.5 overs. Hardik Pandya was adjudged the man of the series for his brilliant all-round performances.
ICC ODI Rankings
India won the series 4-1 and maintained the top spot in the ODI rankings released by the ICC. Australia was third in the rankings. Rohit Sharma jumped to his career best ranking and entered the top five batsmen in the world. He climbed to fifth on the table. Virat Kohli leads the list. Axar Patel also jumped to his career-best seventh spot in the rankings.
Ashish Nehra Called Up For T20 Series
Ashish Nehra has been named for the T20 series against Australia scheduled to begin from 7th October. Nehra last played for in India February in a T20 against England. Dinesh Karthik was also picked for the shortest format. Shikhar Dhawan who missed the ODI series has also been recalled for the T20 series.

South Africa won the first Test against Bangladesh 333 runs as Bangladesh was bundled out for mere 90 runs in the second innings. Morne Morkel missed out the last days play due to injury. Keshav Maharaj picked up four wickets, and Kagiso Rabada picked up three wickets. Dean Elgar was adjudged the man of the match.
Pakistan vs Sri Lanka, First Test, Abu Dhabi
Sri Lanka has set a target of 136 runs to Pakistan in the first Test being played in Abu Dhabi. In reply, the hosts have lost five wickets for 67 runs at Tea. Yasir Shah picked up five wickets in the second innings. Pakistan picked six wickets before Lunch on day five. Sarfraz Ahmed and Haris Sohail were at the crease at Tea.
India A vs New Zealand A, 2nd Unofficial Test, Vijayawada
India A was dismissed for 447 in the first innings, thanks to a brilliant 162 by Ankit Bawne. For New Zealand A, Ish Sodhi picked up three wickets. In the second innings, New Zealand A was 104-1 when bad light stopped play. Shahbaz Nadeem picked up the only wicket in the second innings. New Zealand A still trails by 132 runs.
EPL 2017-18 (Week 7): Arenal vs Brighton and Hove Albion
Arsenal won their third consecutive match at home against Brighton 2-0 on Sunday thanks to a goal each from Monreal and Alex Iwobi. Arsenal jumped to the fifth spot in the table with this win. They have won four out of the seven matches played this season.

Real Madrid won their match against Espanyol 2-0. Isco scored both the goals for the home team. Madrid are still seven points behind the leaders Barcelona after seven league matches.

Barcelona continued their winning streak as they won their game against Las Palmas 3-0 and sat top of the table with 21 points clear by five points from the second-placed Sevilla. Messi scored a brace after Sergio Busquets opened the scoring in the 49th minute.
